Introducing our Original Operas
"The Tryals of Anne Bonny" brings to life the thrilling tale of one of history's most infamous female pirates. Set in 18th century Nassau, this concept album explores themes of freedom, identity, and justice, culminating in a dramatic trial. What sets this work apart is its commitment to historical accuracy: the libretto is written in part using actual historical records, including trial testimony and transcripts. This approach provides listeners with an authentic glimpse into Anne Bonny's world, blending factual events with dramatic interpretation.
Based on the true story of the first murder during a bank robbery in the United States, "Shiloh's Razor" is adapted from the book "Abel Bodied: Murder at the Malden Bank" by Emmy award-winning TV producer Michael Cloherty. This gripping concept album follows William Shiloh, a black barber in post-Civil War Malden, as he grapples with a moral dilemma that would become a landmark case in American history.
